Overview
Fujimi Panorama is a scenic resort in southern Nagano offering 7 courses with spectacular views of both Mt. Fuji and the Yatsugatake mountain range. The resort's signature feature is its 3-kilometer-long gondola-served downhill run, one of the longest continuous runs in the Nagano region. Despite having fewer courses than the northern Nagano resorts, the terrain is well-designed with a good vertical drop from 1,050m to 1,780m.
Fujimi Panorama is one of the closest major ski resorts to Tokyo, accessible in about 2 hours by car or limited express train. The resort relies significantly on snowmaking to supplement natural snowfall, ensuring consistent conditions. The south-facing aspect means sunny, pleasant skiing days. The resort is particularly popular with day-trippers from the Tokyo metropolitan area. In summer, the resort transforms into a popular mountain biking destination.
