Iizuna Kogen is a convenient local resort located just 40 minutes by bus from Nagano Station, making it one of the easiest ski areas to access in the region. With 14 courses served by 6 lifts, it offers a compact but enjoyable skiing experience, particularly well-suited to families, beginners, and anyone looking for a quick day trip from Nagano city. The resort's manageable size means short lift lines and a relaxed atmosphere.
Despite its modest size, Iizuna Kogen offers a nice variety of terrain including some steeper pitches for intermediate skiers. Night skiing is available on select runs, extending the skiing day for those with limited time. The resort offers some of the most affordable lift tickets in the Nagano region. After skiing, the nearby Iizuna onsen provides a relaxing soak with views over Nagano city.
