Overview
X-JAM Takai is a compact, freestyle-focused ski resort in the Kita-Shiga highlands of northern Nagano. The resort features 14 courses served by 4 lifts, with a strong emphasis on park riding. Its terrain park is considered one of the best in the Kita-Shiga area, featuring well-maintained jumps, rails, and boxes suitable for all skill levels from beginners to advanced riders.
Beyond the park, X-JAM Takai offers a good selection of groomed runs through forested terrain with pleasant views of the surrounding mountains. The resort is known for its affordable lift tickets and lack of crowds, making it a favorite among local riders and budget-conscious visitors. Nearby Yudanaka and Shibu onsen towns provide excellent post-skiing relaxation options.
